Calling all lovers of knowledge! Do you have a child with an unquenchable thirst for answers? A child who loves to learn? This is a special program just for them! An Enriched Extension of our Jr Kindergarten
Program, designed as a pull-out program for students who will benefit from it.

The HIL is designed for children who are thriving in our Jr Kindergarten program and are ready to go deeper, think more critically, and take greater ownership of their learning. This enriched stream builds directly on the academic, social, and independence skills your child already possesses, offering increased challenge, complexity, and student agency.

In HIL, children engage in longer-term, more demanding projects that invite deeper inquiry and sustained focus. Weekly learning themes are co-created with the students, encouraging them to ask meaningful questions, propose ideas, and help shape the direction of their learning — an important step toward advanced academic programs.

Children work both independently and in collaborative teams, applying higher-level reasoning, planning, and problem-solving skills. This structure supports the development of executive functioning, leadership, and collaboration, while maintaining the joy and curiosity that define early learning.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through intentional Field Trips that deepen and contextualize
ongoing projects. Visits to libraries, nature settings, and educational centers allow children to apply
classroom learning in real-world environments while strengthening social connection and teamwork.
The HIL program continues to nurture socio-emotional growth alongside academic challenges, supporting children to articulate ideas clearly, including peers in discussion and project work, and navigate group dynamics with confidence and kindness. This balance of rigor and relational learning makes HIL an excellent preparatory pathway for IB programs and academically focused private schools.

Student learning in HIL is experiential, cumulative, and intellectually demanding, so we strongly recommend enrollment for at least 4 days a week. Multi-day projects intentionally build on prior learning, allowing children to revisit, refine, and deepen understanding — because repetition works.
HIL Junior Kindergarten is for children who are ready to stretch — and for families who want an enriched,
forward-looking extension of Jr Kindergarten.

Our Goals: To encourage and expand upon your child’s strong interest in knowledge while nurturing their confidence and self-image as a kind member of society.   (Interview required for admission)
